Yankees To Sign Travis Hafner

Though the contract has yet to be finalized, the Yankees and Travis Hafner appear to have a deal in place. It will be a major league contract, and will likely be around the $1.1 million base salary that Raul Ibanez agreed to in 2012, along with some incentives. Hafner will be the left-handed platoon DH for 2013, and the jury is still out on who will be his counterpart.

Matt wrote about Hafner earlier today, and Brad did the same earlier this month.

    I don’t mind this signing…I trust the guys who understand the saber stuff and say that his ability against righties will satisfy.
