  1. Phil C says:

Okay Bibi Netanyahu, let’s see if your theory about red lines works. I’m drawing a red line at prior to one Yankee loss before the season ends. If the Yankees lose I will go to both the UN and NATO and obtain a resolution that will allow the use of force to ensure the Yanks win the division.

  2. ChrisGuitars says:

I predict one strikeout and one doubleplay equals one run scored… Couldn’t be happier to be wrong. I’ll take a sac fly any day.

  3. Phil C says:

Well, no RISP hits, but at least they got 2 runs.

  4. ChrisGuitars says:

We’ve been actually doing well with two out rallies recently. I’m sure glad Joe started Jones, The rally killer, so we can get back to normal.

  5. Phil C says:

Damn, but sooner or later Pettitte had to give up a tun.

  6. Professor Longnose says:

I didn’t realize Jayson Nix isn’t with the team.

  7. Phil C says:

I hope Gomes roams and Andy picks him off.

  8. Professor Longnose says:

Bases loaded no one out again. I’ll take 2 more runs.

    Or more.

  9. Phil C says:

It’s deja vue all over again!

  10. Professor Longnose says:

    OK, Jones. BREAK OUT!

    • Michael says:

Still curious to me as to how in the world a guy like Ricky Romero has struggled so mightily this season

      • Phil C says:

        I wa-wa-wa-wa-wonder
        Why
        Ah-why-why-why-why-why he can’t pitch away
And I wonder where he will stay
        My little runaway, run-run-run-run-runaway

        Apologies to Del Shannon

  11. Professor Longnose says:

If Jones can’t hit that pitch, he can’t hit.

  12. Phil C says:

At least Jones didn’t ground into a DP. But he is a complete waste of an AB right now.

  13. Michael says:

Christ Joe can we give up on Jones? I want to see Melky Mesa and dont really see how in any way shape or form that Andruw Jones can be better.

    • Professor Longnose says:

I don’t think Girardi would trust Mesa at this stage in his career, no matter what he does. He’s hoping Jones finds it. If not, he might even still play him.

  14. Phil C says:

This game is making me VERY nervous. Way too many missed opportunities.

  15. ChrisGuitars says:

Joe can do much better than Jones. Personally I really want to see Dickerson get a few shots. Although it’s a small sampling, his .333/.467/.833 Has earned him at least another look. And when he does get on, he Steals bases. Defensively, he’s far above the 2012 Andruw Jones.

  16. Phil C says:

Get some frigging runs for Andy!!!

  17. Professor Longnose says:

No more blowing opportunities. I demand runs!

  18. Phil C says:

If the Yanks don’t score I’m going to the International Court and charge the Yanks with genocide against their fans. They’re killing us!!

  19. Michael says:

Come onnn!! The platoon DH thing isnt working. Why is everyone so afraid of using young players on the Yankees? Very frustrating

  20. Phil C says:

I was hoping for some Ibby pop, but instead got some Ibby poop.

  21. ChrisGuitars says:

Another blown opportunity with this First and third with one out. OM God, If the Blue Jays didn’t smell blood before, they sure do now. This has loss written all over it now.

  22. ChrisGuitars says:

Good recovery by the slow acting Grandy.

  23. Phil C says:

    Was that ball going foul?

  24. Phil C says:

You want to know what this game is doing to me:

And, they’re coming to take me away, ha, ha
They’re coming to take me away, ho, ho, hee, hee, ha, ha
To the funny farm where life is beautiful all the time
And I’ll be happy to see those nice young men in their clean white coats
And they’re coming to take me away, ha, ha

    Thank you Napoleon XIV

  25. Phil C says:

What happened? Why is Jeter playing SS?

  26. Professor Longnose says:

If Jeter was available, why the heck didn’t he start at short? And why didn’t they put another infielder on the roster if Nix was unavailable?

  27. Michael says:

They put in Jeter for his defense apparently. Which is really funny especially at the expense of the DH spot.

  28. Phil C says:

Where was Cano on that? If they didn’t want to win this game they should have forfeited it and save their fans all this aggravation.

    • Michael says:

He was playing deep behind second. i dont know of a second baseman fast enough to get over there if they were standing in the same spot. Annoying but well executed play by the Jays to take advantage of the defensive alignment

  29. Michael says:

Jeff Mathis: Yankee Killer. Remember in 09 in the playoffs?

  30. Phil C says:

Joba has not done well with inherited runners. Thank God for another stupid base runner for the Frozen Custards!

  31. Professor Longnose says:

Who had 18 HRs for Rodriguez in the pool?

  32. ChrisGuitars says:

Oh no leadoff runner is on. This has the smell of a bad inning.

  33. ChrisGuitars says:

We’ve got two innings to make it happen. To repeat Hey much-publicized fact, we’re 0-66 when behind after eight innings.

  34. Phil C says:

Come on Robbie, knock Loup for a loop!

  35. Phil C says:

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  36. Professor Longnose says:

    2 runs…

  37. Professor Longnose says:

He couldn’t have done one of those last inning?

  38. Professor Longnose says:

    Granderson is useless.

  39. Professor Longnose says:

The Blue Jays keep trying to give this game away. Will the Yankees take it?

  40. Phil C says:

There’s no way the ump could see that!

  41. ChrisGuitars says:

That’s the ball game. See you guys tomorrow.

  42. Phil C says:

Game and lead over! I simply can’t see the O’s losing to Pawtucket.

  43. Stacey Gotsulias says:

    I’m sick of Boone Logan.

  44. Phil C says:

Now Itchy can end the game with a caught stealing!

  45. Stacey Gotsulias says:

Even if the Yankees wanted to attempt to rally, they couldn’t. Not with this shitty strike zone.

  46. Phil C says:

I can’t type how mad I am. Chat y’all tomorrow.

  47. Arno says:

    We fucking stink. /rant
