Courtesy of fearless leader Michael Eder (this rhymes in my head and heart), likely to be punned into ‘Michael the Elder’ when he has children, NBC Sports Network’s Caught Looking will showcase the most recent series between the Yankees and Orioles at 9 pm … tonight. Interesting timing aside, this does look to be a fine tale of intrigue for both sides of the coin.

Yankees fans can breathe a sigh of relief tonight, as Brian Cashman elucidated the team’s plans for the remainder of the season – to win the division. This, contrary to many of Girardi’s machinations last weekend of course, seems like an excellent idea.

The dearly departed Eric Schultz explored Granderson’s misery over the past couple of months, noting some disconcerting trends and digging into a few potential explanations.

SG of the Replacement Level Yankees Weblog discussed the postseason implications of the upcoming four game set with the Orioles, utilizing both statistical and narrative sentiments. It remains unclear if he is aware that such things are strictly verboten in many a circle.

BP’s John Perrotto spoke with a whole bunch of baseball people (a legal term of art), including A’s assistant GM David Forst and Cardinals manager Mike Matheny.
