Game 104: McGehee’s Debut
Casey McGehee has made it to the Bronx wearing number 45. In the team’s current rut, the Yankees need something to change their pace, and hopefully McGehee can spark something. On the mound, Phil Hughes takes on left handed Zach Britton. The 24 year old Britton has struggled all season with a well earned 5.74 ERA. It’s the perfect opportunity for the offense to wake up.
Derek Jeter SS
Curtis Granderson CF
Nick Swisher DH
Robinson Cano 2B
Andruw Jones RF
Russell Martin C
Casey McGehee 1B
Ichiro Suzuki LF
Jayson Nix 3B
The game starts at 1:05 PM EST on YES. Go Yankees!

Annnnnd, we get to see what Ichiro can do in LF! Go Yankees!
Rather see Swisher and Curtis switch, not a huge deal but give someone else a chance to get on base for Grandy to drive in with the long ball.
Time for the Fibber McGee & Molly Show.
Maybe it’s time for the Yankees to clean out their closet.
I certainly hope Girardi had a chat with Nova. He sounded delusional about his performance.
Who sounded delusional, Girardi or Nova?
Nova, reminded me of IPK.
There’s one good thing about how badly the Yankees suck lately. I have tickets to the Saturday afternoon game against the Orioles on September 1, and the playoffs may well be on the line.
Granderson’s 20th solo HR of the season.
Hughes failed to do his job in the 2nd.
This site has become too frustrating for me. I can’t enjoy the game.
Do you mean because of the comments, or because of the trouble getting on? I couldn’t get on for an hour.
The trouble getting on. I’ve lost the connection 3 times. And it’s been VERY slow posting & refreshing.
Very annoying. But I’d rather be annoyed by YA than by the Yankees.
I thought that was just me. Sometime it will just show a white screen and say it can’t find a connection. Very odd.
I missed the 7th inning, what did Joba top out at?
93 , TO
Hughes is the stopper.
Chat y’all later.
What happened 2 joba throwing 98? Must be minor league radar gun
Yeah, they said he broke 100 . I’m not as excited about his return pitching only 93 as I was when I read he hit 100.
