I guess it doesn’t matter who hits 2nd for the Yanks, the results are the same….HR!
Things definitely not looking good for the Yanks. Montero threw out Suzuki trying to steal.
But of course Tex flies out w 2 risp to end da inning no way ther going anywhere if this continues but jst ask cashman were doing jst fine!
I’m following the game on GameDay, so I haven’t seen Nova pitch. But despite only giving up 2 hits in 5 innings, he’s thrown 97 pitches. That Seattle line-up shouldn’t require 20 pitches an inning to get through.
He really hasn’t had very good control. He’s been better as the game has gone along and he’s throwing hard but the fastball control just hasn’t been crisp.
Thanks.
I’m sick of this RISP choking! Get the damn runs in this time! I mean it! This means you!
Taunting me, eh? A hit but still no runs. It’s not good enough! Get the runs in! Now!
Not even a sac fly, Granderson?! A popup!? You bastard.
Hey Professor, does someone here need some Valium?
As Woody Allen once said, “I tried to take a valium but I couldn’t get my teeth unclenched.”
Great line!
Hey, Nix! Take one for the team!
Yeah, the last 2 games it seems the Seattle pitches hit Yankee batters more often then bats.
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
WOW! Now you seem to be excited.
These one-run losses were killing me. Even a blowout would have been better.
Phew! That felt good.
Looks like Robertson & Soriano to close out the game.
Good. They should be able to hold a 2-run lead aginst the Mariners at Safeco.
Come on, Russell, run into one.
Nix increased his RBI total by 43% with that double.
He’s auditioning for the 3rd base job.
An RBI single–what an interesting concept.
I feel bad for Martin. It seems every time he gets a big hit either Stewart catches the next day or they have the day off. Hard to get hot like that.
I suppose. He’s been very streaky with the Yanks anyway.
Have you noticed that this past week Stewart seems to be playing more?
Yes, I did. Is Girardi trying to shake Martin up?
Maybe that, maybe keep him rested more.
Looks like Robertson had a nice efficient inning.
It appears that the Mets are looking at last year’s collapse by the Braves & the Red Sox and decided to do it now.
They were due to regress, but they’ve taken it to extremes.
Typical Yankee offense today. A run in the first, then nothing until that 4 spot in the 8th.
Mariners have only 2 hits, both in the first inning.
That’s it! A frustrating game for the first 7 innings, but it came out OK.
Well, at least the end the road trip with a win.
Yup. Take it easy until Friday.
Chat with ya Friday night for the BoSox game.
