  1. Phil C says:

Stewart is NOT CC’s personal catcher.

    CC is Stewart’s personal pitcher.

  2. Phil C says:

I have a feeling that CC will hit a homer tonight.

  3. Hawaii Dave says:

Guy on the Braves just hit a bases loaded double. Are you allowed to do that? I don’t think the rules allow you to get base hits w the bases loaded. I think you can only strike out, pop up, or hit into double plays. Oh no, I checked the rule book…it’s allowed. My bad. (humor from hawaii)

  4. Professor Longnose says:

Hey, what did I miss tonight?

  5. Phil C says:

I keep hoping for that late inning comeback. Critical that CC keeps them at 3 runs.

  6. Phil C says:

I haven’t seen anything here in Houston about how the Yanks are doing signing their draft picks. Anything happening?

    • Professor Longnose says:

I haven’t heard anything, but I don’t follow the draft that closely. Maybe one of the YA guys will do an update.

      HEY GUYS: DO AN UPDATE!

  7. Professor Longnose says:

Get the tying run to the plate, guys.

  8. Phil C says:

Baseball is such a unique game where a guy with a guy like Minor who has not pitched that well can dominate a good hitting team like the Yanks.

    • Professor Longnose says:

Yes. It has the worst best teams–that is, the best teams are less better than the worst teams than in football or baseketball.

  9. Phil C says:

Great time to tie the Iron Horse.

  10. Professor Longnose says:

    wow. This reliever looks terrible.

  11. Professor Longnose says:

    SLAMMO!!!!!!

  12. Professor Longnose says:

Highlight of the season so far, maybe.

  13. Professor Longnose says:

Michael Kay drives me nuts. Yeah, he tied Gehrig–but to me the important thing is that he tied the game.

  14. Phil C says:

Good, now they’re going to make Swisher bat lefty.

  15. Professor Longnose says:

I was just going to say that they really needed to add some runs and take the lead, but Swisher was way ahead of me.

  16. Phil C says:

Now the question is who can pitch the 8th & 9th.

  17. Phil C says:

On the fly out, I just don’t understand why Wise (or any runner in that position with decent speed) does not tag.

    • Professor Longnose says:

I don’t know. On most flies it’s obvious the ball will be caught.

    • smurfy says:

yeah, I was frustrated seeing Wyse shamble back, then remembered, that’s how they always play it. Except somebody the other night, Jeter or Grandy tagged when there was a deep one, the fielder waiting on it. This one seemed weakly hit, the fielder was waiting deep, a perfect spot.

  18. Phil C says:

Does this count at 2 PH ABs for Martin?

  19. Professor Longnose says:

The Urbanites opened up on the Batoidea, 9-2.

  20. Phil C says:

    Why won’t Girardi use Phelps?

  21. smurfy says:

They are doing the Tomahawk Chop. Hardly seems appropriate.

Should be doing the Funeral Dance.

  22. Professor Longnose says:

    Nasty curve from Soriano.

  23. smurfy says:

Did you notice that So’s slider at McCann’s knees is the same pitch Ivan Nova has been doing great with?

  24. Phil C says:

Love these come from behind wins!

  25. Phil C says:

    See y’all tomorrow night!

  26. smurfy says:

What a nice surprise! Kinda queasy about CC, though.

  27. Professor Longnose says:

Yanks now have the best record in the AL.

  28. smurfy says:

Alex’s homer was another tank cannon shot, like last night in the first, except it was 15 feet higher.

  29. hawaii dave says:

For a split second, I thought I was watching the 98 Yankees….that was the year of the Yanks giving opponents heartbreaking losses like that. What a way to break those bases loaded blues.
