The season is about to begin. Every team is a contender, especially with two more wild card spots up for grabs. Your TYA bloggers have compiled their prediction picks for the season:

Lots of variance here. Everyone picks the Yankees to win the AL East. Eric was the only person brave enough (see what I did there?) to go with Atlanta over the Phillies in the NL East. After that, we’ve got a healthy mix of wild card and division winners.

Brad’s predictions are closest to my own. I’d put the Nationals at #2 in the NL East and as a wildcard team. I could live with everything else from his.

    • I have to say I’m honored that somebody else out there has predictions similar to mine. I would advise you not to make any bets based off predictions that are similar to mine, though. If you saw my NCAA bracket, you would probably scramble to change your MLB picks.

I, on the other hand, was the only TYA writer to predict a Detroit victory next year. Play my picks :)

(One of these days, I’m going to go to Vegas and play the over-unders. I’d play the ‘regress to the mean’ method, betting on every over/under in the direction of 81 wins. But that’s just a thought that Brad stirred up there)

    Hi EJ,
Will you update your top 30 prospects for 2012, showing the same table as per 2011? I liked it alot.

I’m the only one bold enough to do it, it seems. And I’ll be the only one right on this: Red Sox, 4th Place. Behind Toronto. Not because they don’t have Varitek anymore, but because they don’t really have the arms.
