Update - Tonight’s game has been postponed due to rain. No make up date has yet been announced, but experts insist we’ll see a double header tomorrow.

At 7:05 (YES, ESPN) tonight, the Yankees will seek to end their one-game skid. With their late spring training resting regulars lineup, they’ll have a bit of an uphill climb, although they do get to avoid Joe Mauer. The lineups:

LF Brett Gardner
CF Curtis Granderson
1b Mark Teixeira
DH Alex Rodriguez
2b Robinson Cano
RF Nick Swisher
3b Eric Chavez
SS Eduardo Nunez
C Gustavo Molina

RHP Freddy Garcia

CF Denard Span
2b Tsuyoshi Nishioka
LF Delmon Young
1b Justin Morneau
DH Jason Kubel
RF Michael Cuddyer
3b Danny Valencia
C Drew Butera
SS Alexei Casilla

RHP Carl Pavano

Article on Yankees.com has the following to say on the game.

“No makeup date for the contest has been announced. The Yankees and Twins will continue as scheduled for Thursday, a 1:05 p.m. ET start, but a doubleheader will not be played because both teams must travel for day games on Friday.”

That sucks! I would rather see a double header than have this game hanging over us.

Not to be a nit-picker, but the Yankees are not on a two-game skid. They beat the Twins on Monday behind Nova, then blew the Tuesday game. That’s a one-game losing “streak.”
