On every weeknight throughout the year, one of the TYA writers will post a trivia question as the nightly open thread. The blog administrators will keep track of the winners, and the commenter with the most correct answers will win a prize that has yet to be decided upon. The answers will be posted in the following evening’s open thread.

Yesterday’s Question: Rickey Henderson leads the Yankees record books with the most stolen bases (326) — at least for the time being (Jeter is second on the list with 310).  Can you name the the Yankee with the less prestigious record of most times caught stealing?

Answer: Two players are tied for the record of most times caught stealing.

Babe Ruth and Roy White are tied for most times caught stealing with 117.
3.  Bob Meusel (102)
4.  Lou Gehrig (101)
5.  Ben Chapman (93).

Today’s Question: Yesterday, Texas owner Chuck Greenberg resigned as the managing partner of the Texas Rangers after just 7 months. Which Yankee owner was forced out by his partners after just two years at the helm by a series of confrontations following a world series celebration? (Hint: the patriarch of a famous baseball family)

I love how the MASN broadcasters have no idea who Jesus Montero is and think Cervelli is “stepping in for Posada now”.

Maybe you should do some research before talking?
