Midnight Tweets (updates on Bryce Harper, Chase Utley, ’24′ movie)
(A daily recapping of the news and notes via Twitter that may be of interest to Yankee fans. Or at least those that are to this one)
NYPost_Kernan Burnett most encouraged by coming back after HR to Morse, depth of curve ball was excellent, means mechanics improved #Yankees #Nats #MLB
Buster_ESPN Great news: They have found Kei Igawa’s family, and the Yankees pitcher is on his way back to Japan.
BloggingBombers Don’t toy with us! RT @RealKiefer A lot of you are asking ab the 24 movie. Nothing set in stone but hope 2 start shooting in Jan.
BloggingBombers My buddy @peteabe tells me Terry Francona said Alfredo Aceves is “likely” to start against the Yankees on Monday night In Fort Myers.
YankeesWFAN People say Wash phenom Bryce Harper wants to be a Yankee. He was ogling Yankee BP, esp Robinson Cano, until Nats officials called him away.
ChrisShearnYES Also heard whispers about harper being told to stifle love of yankees so washington fans don’t hate him before he even starts with nats

When does Harper become a FA?
Forever, in baseball terms. He has 3 levels of the minors and 6 years of MLB service time before he hits free agency. If the Nats play with his call up date (which would be smart) you could be looking at 7 MLB seasons. Plus, he can always sign an extension that buys out a year or two of his free agency, which is common these days.
He could love Cano all he wants, Robbie will probably be retired by the time they would play together.
Well Harper is a yankee fan since he was little, so of course he is going to watch his heroes….also this is good, I hope he breaks into the bigs early year becomes a FA at 25 and signs with NY.
