It’s been 2 weeks since my last update, and much has happened between now and then. Brian Bruney was signed to a minor league contract by the Milwaukee Brewers after being released by the Nats. Melky may be looking at more playing time with Nate McLouth heading to the DL after an outfield collision with Jason Heyward. Jose Tabata was called up by the Pirates, and has done well in a tiny sample of ABs. Arodys Vizcaino has been terrific in the Sally League, he hasn’t given up a Walk or an Earned Run since our last recap. Austin Jackson is coming back down to Earth, as most of us expected he would. As we approach the trade deadline, one of the items on our shopping list will be another Lefty for the bullpen, in which case you may want to skip over Mike Dunn’s numbers from AAA. I’m sure some Yankee execs are kicking themselves over Tyler Clippard right around now as well.
