From Chad Jennings, we learn that the Yankees have called up Francisco Cervelli, Ramiro Pena, Mark Melancon, Mike Dunn and Edwar Ramirez. No surprises there. Expect to see Shelley Duncan, Anthony Claggett, Juan Miranda and Brett Gardner get the call later, as well (Austin Jackson remains a possibility, too).

I doubt we see Austin Jackson unless we wrap up the division and can afford to give him regular playing time.

Great news! Looking forward to seeing each and every one of these guys play. Only disappointed that they didn’t call up Albaladejo and A-Jax, but maybe they will soon.

Albaladejo is terrible and I really don’t like what he brings as a bull pen peice and Jackson really needs some seasoning or he won’t hit.

We have a pretty big problem heading into the Blue Jays series… We start the series out with Chad Gaudin (filling in for Mitre) against Ricky Romero so we could lose that game, now the problem comes in the next game as Chamberlain will pitch against Halladay which wouldn’t be terrible Chamberlain just needs to step up big (or so I thought in my head) but I realized he can’t step up at all because we have to pitch 6 innings of relief against the Blue Jays with Roy Halladay on the hill. Pettitte will pitch the last game but we could lose this series before he ever pitches because you don’t know what you are getting with Gaudin and you have to try and duel Halladay with nothing but a bull pen.
