Per Peter Abraham (LoHud), we learn that the Yankees are not interested in Mark Mulder. The Yankees had been linked to Mulder by a Ken Rosenthal (FOX Sports) report about a week ago. According to the report, Mulder is healthy and the Yankees were rumored to be one of the teams interested in scouting him later this month. Of course, given his injury-plagued past, Mulder never really seemed like a legitimate option anyway. From what I’ve heard, he had been re-tooling his mechanics so that he could pitch without pain. Brian Cashman loves reclamation projects, but this doesn’t sound all that promising. Despite Mulder’s brand name, until he actually proves that he is healthy and can stay that way, there are better—i.e., more predictable—options available.

I don’t know. Taking a look couldn’t seem to hurt. Is he really a worse option than Mitre?

The dudes elbow falls off just looking at a pitching mound so yes having an old Mulder on the DL is much worse than Mitre pitching… not to mention his lack of experience recently!
