Pedro Martinez Ghostride the Whip rip intends to sign somewhere this coming week, according to a person close to him. This remains a tough one to pick. The Rays are one team thought to be in the mix and the Phillies have discussed Martinez internally. The Cubs have been unable to do anything with their ownership situation unsettled, and while the sale is reportedly about to go through, it may be too late for them to take action on this front. The Yankees do not seem to be in the mix (even with the loss of Chien-Ming Wang), while the Brewers and Cardinals are seen as being on the periphery. The Brewers missed the last public workout, as Pedro was slightly late (he was on Pedro time), and the scout bailed.
Last month there were some rumblings about the Yankees being interested in Pedro, however, they seem content solving their rotation issues with an in-house replacement (and it’s not like Pedro is the best external option, either).

I hate Pedro and believe he was probably a Roids user based on his rapid improvement in velocity after his Dodger days and based on his often bizzare and aggressive behavior, however if he’s healthy and throwing well, which appears to be the case, he’s probably better than Mitre and Igawa.
You don’t have to be big to be a juicer. Some of the guys that got caught (Guilerrmo Mota) were skinny as rails. I’ve always suspected Soriano, since he’s so cut and so strong for such a skinny guy.
As far as Pedro goes, no thanks. Were trying to win games, not host Old Timers Day every 5th day.
If you look at photos of pedros head as a Dodger and later on as a Red Sux, it looks like he grew 2 hat sizes and his face get really thick.
