I will list the names of the players signed as they are officially announced, as well as their position, country of origin, and bonus

Gary Sanchez, C, DR ($3,000,000).  Plus arm and plus power, with the athleticism and ability to stick at catcher.  There are questions about how his hitting will translate. into game situations

They Shoot Horses, Don’t They? video

Damian Arredondo, SS, DR ($850,000).  Plus-plus speed with a plus arm and fielding ability.  The bat is behind the fielding, but has promise.

Chris Cabrera, RHP, DR ($400,000).  6’1″ righty who has reportedly hit 95 with the fastball, with potential for a good breaking ball and change.  Mark Newman considers Cabrera more advanced than Jairo Heredia and Arodys Vizcaino when they signed.

    And team?

  2. Tom Swift says:

Or are you just listing Yankee signings.

  3. Chofo says:

Any news on Sano? What are the chances the Yanks are getting him?

    • Eric Schultz says:

I have heard that the Sano signing has been held up because there are still questions about his age. The Yankees don’t seem likely to sign him (I’ll put it at 10%), and the Pirates have been the frontrunners for a while.

  4. Chofo says:

Thanks Eric. Do you have any scouting report on Arredondo and Cabrera?

    • Chris H. says:

Eric probably has more info than me, but all I’ve heard about Arredondo is that he’s a “speedy” SS and a very capable defender. Cabrera, another 16-year old I believe, is supposed to throw in the 90′s (mid to low) and has a good slider and changeup.

I know this a bit late (or early), but how would you rate on scale of 1-10 the Yankees draft? And how does it stands compared to the Red Sox or other teams drafts?

  6. Angelo says:

Ive been looking for information on who the Yankees have signed for the past 30 minutes, but its hard to come by legit information. Thanks Eric. Hopefully you can update us as signings continue to reel in. I will likely use some of this information for the website i work on as well. soxandpinstripes.com if your interested.
