Hope you guys like this, this is the first edition of something I hope to make a regular feature here at YU. There are some things that are too quick to build a full post around, so this gives me a chance to throw some things out there and say some things that I think need to be said.

-If the Yanks lost two games in the middle of the season due to back to back poor starts, would it be a big deal? No, and neither is this.

-People implying that CC and Tex are chokers based on their Opening Day performances is the definition of knee jerk. Pitchers will have days when they simply don’t have it, and hitters will take a collar here and there. The problem is we have nothing else in Pinstripes to compare with for both of them.

-Once in a blue moon Bill Madden writes something worth reading. Today was one of those days.

-For those of you living under a rock or new to the team, Girardi loves Brett Gardner.

-Best wishes to Dan Geise, who was claimed off waivers by the Oakland A’s yesterday.

-Andrew Brackman makes his professional debut with the Yanks Charleston RiverDogs tonight.  It will certainly be the start of something big. If for no other reason, he’s 6’10″.

I will hit lead off on this one. I know its two games so I am still very optimistic but damn Wang looked like he did not belong in the stadium last night-Awe as Yankee fans better get used to the fact that EVERY TEAM in the american leagus is good offensivley-I dont care if its Baltimore Seattle-KC the O;s can hit Markakis-Roberts-Huff-Jones and Mora are just as good middle of the order we will face. They hurt us last year and its the same story. I hope the Yankees know there are no nights off in this league and will be challeneged eevery day by every lineup.
