Lineups are up. Both Matsui and Jorge are sitting. The Yankee hitting staff is looking pretty weak right about now.
1. Jeter
2. Damon
3. Teixeira
4. Nady (DH)
5. Cano
6. Swisher
7. Ransom
8. Gardner
9. Molina
Good to see Tex get one from the left side. We need AJ to not let things get out of control like CC & Wanger did. Battle, AJ, battle!
Hey! Swisher with a dinger! Now we’re talking!
Robby’s doing a great job of taking pitches so far, btw
3 walks in 3 games. Cano has always been least selective in the beginning of the season and more selective once he remembers that the whole swinging at every pitch thing doesn’t work. It’ll be interesting to see where this goes.
Funny note – on the MLB gamecast, it depicts Gardner as, “Loves to face: changeup. Hates to face: changeup.” huh?
If Swisher has a hot day or two, I wonder how long it takes for Nady or Matsui to get pushed back. He’s got so much potential, and makes our outfield defense superb.
True – all the OFs seem to be playing pretty well so far, though – tough to sit anyone – maybe Nady (.200 avg). You’ve got to figure Matsui or Damon gets nicked up sooner rather than later, so Joe will probably just wait.
AJ’s throwing a lot more breaking balls now, and it seems to be effective – was nasty that inning.
3 RBIs, maybe earns him another start tomorrow?
Wow Bass. I could have made that throw, and I throw like a girl.
That’s very politically incorrect, EJ. You should say that you throw like a “person diagnosed with with a penile disability”
