The Yankee Clipper sails from New Jersey
Crains has a new story up (sorry, subscription req’d) about Seastreak opening up a new ferry line directly to the stadium for all of you lovebirds out there.
“When baseball season begins next month, Yankee fans in New Jersey can sail to the new stadium to see Derek Jeter and teammates. Seastreak will transport Monmouth County residents to the ballpark in just one hour, which is half the time it would take by car or train. And instead of sitting in traffic or getting jostled on the subway, passengers can enjoy fresh air and a little local scenery.
The ferry operator bought 50 Yankees tickets for each weekend game the Bombers play in the Bronx. It is working on a similar deal with the Mets.
The catch? Jersey fans will need to dig deep to come up with the $85 per-person fee, which includes round-trip fare and the price of one seat. Seastreak owner James Barker says the package is $15 less than the company had originally budgeted. “We got a tremendous number of requests from our riders to go to Yankee games,” says Mr. Barker. “I think we’ll sell out pretty quickly.”
People who have their own game tickets can simply ride the ferry for $55. “
Sounds romantic.

- Most poker sites open to US players also provide online casinos accepting USA players. A good example of this is BetOnline.com, where you can play 3D casino games, bet on sports or play poker from anywhere in the United States.

Sounds pretty darn expensive.
Yes, but it does include a ticket. I don’t know where, but I’d hope they’re not sticking people out in the bleachers.
I have to admit, it does sound like a fun and memorable date.
It does, but I plan on getting bleacher seats last minute for 10 bucks a seat, and then metrocarding it to the park. In this economy, 85 bucks? Unless you are really trying to impress a date, this is out of typical fans price range.
I had the same plans Moshe. I was going to say the subway is still cheaper.
