The Daily News is reporting that Max Kellerman has left 1050-ESPN Radio and is being considered as the partner for the WFAN drive time show.

It seems to make a lot of sense, both stylistically and in terms of demographics. Max certainly evokes the manic style that when paired with Mike delivered huge ratings for the long running Mike and the Mad Dog show. Also, he complements Francesa on his weakest area, which is statistical analysis. That should help bring in the younger, more computer savvy audience that Mike appeals to less. As a long time fan of both shows, I’m hoping a deal gets done.

I think that they would kill each other- neither would ever budge on their POV, which are so opposed that it would make for some ridiculous fights.

oh man someone please make this happen…..

Love the title of Mike and Max…However, Max is kind the anti Dog. Max loves the Yankees. He and Mike root for the same teams, so this show will be way different then Mike and the Mad-dog. I think Max is better as the biggest personality in the room. I do not think he will like playing second fiddle at all.
